Today the passage that stood out to me was verse 6, He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.” The notes in my Bible says it best: Just as God finished creation and Jesus finished the work of redemption, so the Trinity will finish the entire plan of salvation by inviting the redeemed into the new creation. It seems almost impossible, but with God we know all things are possible and He will make it all happen one day.

And my favorite part is right before your favorite verse:
He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever.
5 Then the one sitting on the throne said:
I am making everything new. Write down what I have said. My words are true and can be trusted.”
Oh how I long for the day of no more sadness or pain. And what an amazing promise that he is making everything new. That is a truth we can hold onto today, in the midst of our broken world. He does make things new and will continue to do until “it is finished”.
That gives me a tear….
