Last week was Father’s Day. As the father of three teenage girls, I am thankful I had great counsel from some godly men who encouraged me to be a example of what a man should be for my girls as they grow up. The video below exemplifies the importance of this. All girls need a hero and I hope and pray I am to my girls. I hope you enjoy the video.

Today, for our reflection post, I would normally post a a video or picture, but this past week was one of the hardest weeks I have had in a long time. I decided instead to take a true sabbath and do as little as possible. So, my apologies to everyone, but I did nothing today but rest. I hope you all had a blessed and restful day. We must always be a reflection of Christ. Not just in our actions, but by our speech as well. James 3:10-11 says, 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. 11 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? We should not allow our mouths to reflect two different natures. We can not have the nature of Christ in us and the nature of our imperfection at the same time. None of us are perfect, but we should all strive to be like Christ in our deeds and what comes out of our mouths.
