Chapter 8 speaks about God’s majesty and greatness. One of the notes in my Bible shares a powerful thought about our humility in light of God’s greatness; humility means proper respect for God, not self-deprication. God doesn’t want us to belittle our selves, He wants us to compare ourselves to His greatness and realize we come from Him.

Yes, Dino!!! You hit the nail on the head! Who wants to hang out with a bunch of self deprecating people?! Humility just happens when you realize that there’s no way you could ever do the stuff God did. It’s not a negative feeling, it’s just realization of a fact that results in having an awe for God.
