Verse 9 is an amazing reminder, For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. We must never forget that Christ made all the sacrifice for us, not the other way around. Imagine giving everything you have for the salvation of others. It is easier said than done, but our Lord and Savior did it because of His love for us. Great reminder!

It’s actually really sobering to understand that. Would you willing give all you have to see a number of people come followers of the Lord?
I must say, there is only a hand full that would actually do this. That understanding is hard to swallow.
When we put Christ’s sacrifice in perspective, we definitely see the depth of His love. Great stuff!
Great reminder, indeed. Bjon, when you put it that way I realize there are very few people who I would consider doing that for. It’s a humbling reminder of Christ’s love for us.
Like you said D, such a great reminder!
It’s amazing to me how of an important subject this really is. As a young believer I remember thinking “give your 10%” to the church, and how that was such a religious way of thinking. I have learnt so much in this topic that it’s limitless to how giving is being such a witness to others in that it IS sacrificial. Its funny how giving can be so convicting to the ‘giver’.
I read yesterday, just didntake it to the site to comment. Good to see you all here.
