May we never have too much that we forget our need for God in our lives and may we never have too little that we look for dishonest gains. Proverbs 30:8-9 says, Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God. How many of us are brave enough to pray these verses to God? Living in faith is hard, but this life is most rewarding when we fully trust in God for all we need.
