In the beginning of Psalm 22:1 David says the same thing Jesus said on the cross, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” The description of David’s suffering was very similar to the suffering Jesus would endure hundreds of years later. it was not a cry of doubt, but instead a urgent appeal for help. It is ok to ask God for help so long as we don’t doubt in His ability.
